An all-hybrid car service to municipal airports is being launched in the San Francisco area. PlanetTran, already working Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire airports, will use 11 black Toyota Priuses to ferry passengers from the Bay Area to the Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose airports. According to PlanetTran, a regular limo will spit out 80,000 more pounds of CO2 than a hybrid car during a year's worth of driving. Prices are comparable to other services, and the owner says problems storing luggage are rare.
