Local bloggers get a glimpse of green cars at Chicago Auto Show

Sure, we had our own writers on the ground at the Chicago Auto Show, but we weren't the only ones there. Local bloggers from Chicagoist attended and, like our own Sam Abuelsamid in Detroit, they had a chance to speak with GM's Bob Lutz about the Chevy Volt. Chicagoist didn't claw out any new info on the Volt, but it's always good to see what people around the country think of green cars like GM's new concept. The Chicagoist folks really didn't like Zap!'s Xebra, though, saying it was hit with the ugly stick. Chicagoist readers (based on the published comments) were into the Volt, and are discussing plug-in capability in terms of local electricity production. Good stuff.
If you're all too familiar with the cars, but not so clued in to the Windy City when you go to the show this coming week, make sure to download Chicagoist's Guide to Chicago (PDF). They promise it'll let you act like you've been there before.
