Honda Crossroad, the "mystery JDM car," hits Japan 2/22

The Honda Crossroad, the mystery JDM car whose reader-submitted spy photos generated a flood of comments, conjecture, and a fair number of arguments, will go on sale in Japan on February 22. The car's official website is up in teaser mode right now, but if you want to see what it looks like, you need only refer to our December 26 post that shows us the vehicle inside and out.
Honda's planned a bit of fanfare to coincide with the car's home-market launch, with a concert scheduled at a Tokyo hotel to kick things off for the new model. We'll bring you full details about the Crossroad upon the car's release later this month.

love the mid 80's isuzu styling. Honda's gone retro.

GM called, Tell RRR he's not too bright. Cadillac grills have never been a 3 bar grill. They are egg-crate designs.

It looked much better in all white with the duct tape on the left rear door.
Never a doubt in my mind it was a Honda.

The whole "so-and-so called and they want such-and-such back" thing is childish. Yes, this Honda's styling is derivative. So the next time your in the market for a car in Japan, don't buy it.
An alternative to the sarcastic posts would be to design your own car that is entirely original and your own. Last time I looked, Guigiaro and Mays weren't posting to this blog.

That is not pleasant to look at. The US is lucky they're not selling that car here.
I heard Honda wanted to use Pontiac's Aztek name for this. ;-)
