High school class rebounds from lost electric car to build WVO Jetta

After losing an electric-car project to a flood, the Union-Endicott High School Technology Club started working on a biofuel car to run on straight vegetable oil (SVO or VegOil). A former student donated a non-running VW Jetta and the work begins. Problems with the fuel system persists and the team doesn't have it running yet. The story has additional photos and a link to a video. A most encouraging project that doesn't have to worry about ethanol or biodiesel issues.
