POLL: Return of the RR of the Week
This week signaled the triumphant return of our Reader Ride of the Day, and to say that we're pleased with the results would be a bit of an understatement. Our Flickr pool has been growing at a steady rate, which made it that much more difficult to select only one vehicle to highlight each day, but in the end, we were able to select five rides that exemplified the diversity and shear coolness of how you get around.
Although each of these vehicles holds a special place in our petrol-pumping hearts, we have to leave it to you to choose your favorite from this week's selection. Your choices include the M-arvelous BMW coupe, the raucous R32 GT-R, a Bavarian BMW beauty, a stellar Subie and a delectable Dodge SRT-4. So vote below, let your voices be heard and remember next week is Beater of the Day, so submit your dilapidated whips to our Flickr pool by following the directions posted after the jump.
How to submit to RR of the Day:
Create a Flickr account if you don't already have one. Search for and join the group called 'Autoblog RR of the Day'. Upload up to three photos of your ride to your own account at a size no larger than 450 pixels wide if possible and include as much information about it and yourself as possible. Even if your ride is sweet, it will not be chosen if there's not a lot of info accompanying it. Click on each photo and just above the picture it will say "Send to group". Click that and select the Autoblog group. You're done, that's it!

Will there be a RR of the week every week from now on? Or will it be only on select weeks?

Avinash - Barring any unforseen circrumstances (i.e. huge car show, Flickr crash, rabid beaver incident, etc.) expect to see the RR of the Day carried forward every week. If it isn't for some reason, we'll tell you why.

Man, this isn't even going to be close. That Skyline is beautiful.

This was a hard one, I REALLY love the Legacy 2.5 GT's... they are so underrated and not fully appreciated, and also the M Coupe, but the Skyline is just so rare I couldn't NOT vote for it. If you guys had spread out the rides or not stuck in the Skyline this would have been a much closer poll.

I used to drive an '01 Land Rover Discovery LE -- man, that would make for a great RR of the day. You could never tell if the engine was going to turn over or not; once it did, however, the snarl of the puny 1960s GM engine was enough to rock emissions testers miles away!

Not a bad entry in the bunch this week. The Skyline is a beauty, but my vote went to the Bavaria. I am a sucker for Mercs and BMW's of the late 60's & early 70's. There seemed to be such a clarity of purpose and a distinctive identity for each marque at the time. They both seem to have lost that quality over the years, but it is good to see a reminder of it.
