Gee, maybe they called this paint job Morpheous...because depending on the light, it MORPHS from purple to burgundy to blue to black? The pictures seem to support this, as some of them show the same (or a similar? car) in a white background with a burgundy-looking paint job.
I seem to remember Ford in the U.S. offered a similar paint in the mid '90s. It was called MYSTIC. It was a special option on Mustang Cobras but eventually "migrated" to Thunderbirds and even Tauruses. For some reason, it was never offered on a Lincoln or Mercury. I guess someone in FoMoCo thought there shouldn't be a flashy lincoln-Mercury.
