2007 Barrett-Jackson: Tour bus supreme
Lot Number 1047: 1935 White Custom Tour Bus Convertible White/brown
If you find limos to be a bit passé and wouldn't be caught dead bringing your 13 friends along with you on a scenic tour of your summer island home in some modern shuttle bus, then the folks at Barrett-Jackson might have the vehicle you've been waiting for. It's a beautifully crafted 1935 White Custom Tour Bus. A convertible even!
It underwent a "nut & bolt" complete restoration, and only has a few test miles since. The interior features custom leather, wrap-around seating for 13, custom wood work, a very striking cut glass rear window, custom-engraved copper trim, and of course the de rigeur bar stereo. Lots of storage in the custom tailgate trunk, hidden ice coolers, a big-screen TV.
This one is a bit of a resto mod, with its power disc brakes, coil-spring front suspension, power steering, stainless steel exhaust, and 200 amp charging system. And so you can tour at a reasonable clip, underhood you'll find a 2002 365hp 454 Vortec V8 coupled to a 3-speed automatic transmission. And if all that isn't enough to seal the deal, step outside again and take another long look at those gorgeous chrome side pipes and rear wheel spats. Simply stunning.
