Autoblog Podcast #54
We took a week off from podcasting to bring you our excellent coverage of the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but now we're back with episode #54. Of course, the topic at hand is the Detroit Auto Show, and as a special guest we have Sam Abuelsamid on the show. Sam normally contributes to AutoblogGreen, but you'll start seeing posts from him on Autoblog more often. He was also part of our Detroit coverage team and walked the floor of Cobo for us like a man possessed. Along with the usual suspects of Damon and Alex, our four-man panel reveal our Best of Shows for the 2007 Detroit Auto Show this episode, which includes Best Production Vehicle, Best Concept and Sleeper Hit of the Show. Likewise, we also reveal our Worst of Shows in those categories, as well. We're not going to spoil the surprise here, so subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes, download episode #54 and follow along as we praise and pan the vehicles of the 2007 NAIAS. Thanks for calling out Lexus on the IS-F. That car is but ugly, I like the normal version, but that car looks like boy racer on steroids.
I can't wait to see how much it weighs either. You might need the 400WHP to move its fat a** out of the garage

Wow. Autoblog has dropped to #16 in the automotive category. Thats sad.
I am sure it is because of:
1. No more Ipod giveaway
2. The one-week hiatus

I think your shows would be better if you limited them to 30 minutes.

No i like the hour, need to kill more time on the job. For the record i think the show is great i look forward to it weekly. Just to trough out an idea i think it would have been great if a slide show could be included in an episode like this one. Would have been great if i could easily see some of these images while you mentioned them, but i guess thats what the site was for. Thank you guys keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Believe me, we constantly argue about what the ideal length for a podcast is, and the answer seems to range from five minutes to two hours. There's not one ideal length for all of our listeners, we just like doing around 50 minutes to an hour. Had a lot to talk about this week, though. We've also thought about doing an "enhanced" version of the podcast that shows pics while we're talking. Still very much possible and we're considering it. Glad to know a few people would be into that.

Love the new revised podcast. The audio quality is much improved. I think under an hour in length is about right. My suggestion would be to add links to the cars & articles in Autoblog that you talk about to this post. I still can't find the Jag you talked about. Was is the cxf? cfx? cxs?
