Down here in Australia, Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) are pushing their new range with a catchy advertising campaign including billboard style posters at airports like the one I snapped above on my camera phone. The new FPV range is billed as being "Performance, Inc." and features from left to right, the F6 Typhoon, GT, Force and the Super Pursuit Ute. If you're a Ford fan stuck in North America and you'd like to feel a bit closer to all this muscle, check out the FPV's cool videos.

This is exactly what Ford should have done in the United states. Ford is doing well overseas, but in the U.S they need to rethink their plan

Why do you torture me so?

this is what ford needs over here, the cars are hot and fast.the only thing we get over is the mustang!

Keith and Rodstar express my sentiments perfectly. What I read about Ford divisions must be true - Ford U.S. must not talk to Ford Australia.
An AWD Pursuit would be the ultimate car for single guys or couples who transport bikes, snowboards, skis, etc. - and there are many of us.

Those of you who see this and think that Ford should sell those cars in the U.S. - please send Ford an e-mail (through the Contact US link at Ford.com) and tell them. If enough of us do, who knows, it might help.

Mark,
They don't listen. My previous car was a Focus SVT. I joined a bunch of online and local focus communities who sent emails all the time to try to have ford bring us the Focus RS from Euro, but we always got the response that they feared it would hurt sales of the mustang. I think Ford U.S is not willing to change their business plan and they think Aussies/Euro are completely different people than us. I mean come on who wouldn't want an AWD Pursuit.
That focus has so many problems with it I was glad when it died in a rear-end accident. RIP Focus aka "million small little problems". I own 06' Audi A4 now.

Now is the time for the boys over at "any color, as long as it's black" to bring over some RWD shrimp from the barbie! The Mustang is an ICON that will survive some other performance cars in the stable. It seems to work for DiamlerChrysler and the 300M,Charger,Magnum,Challenger and it looks like the General is going to bring over a couple more shrimp from the barbie, as well as Opel/Saturn being joined at the hip! Hey Billy Ford Jr., why is it ok to have over lapping SUVs, but only one performance product in your show rooms???
Mark Tisch, Salt Lake City @ Jan 15th 2007 4:40PM
I hear you, Keith. Their decisions have put them where they are, and they don't appear to be making any better ones. Too bad.

As an Aussie, future F6 owner, living in Australia I could think of nothing worse than ruining a Tornado, a Pursuit or a Super Pursuit with AWD kit. I understand the need to ferry stuff around like Snowboards and the like...I say buy snowchains. Aussies like hanging the arse end out in these things. We don't have Mustangs or Camaros, the closest we have is the Monaro which is out of production at the moment.
So please don't ruin our drift experience with a crappy AWD "snowfield safe" experience. Aussies ARE different to Americans. We don't have anywhere NEAR the amount of snow that Americans do.

Josh,
I'm jealous. I've been to Australia one time and I loved it. People were so much more humble, pleasant, and down to earth than the east coast of the USA. But they know how to party too, or as you said "hang the tail out". I'd move down under in a second if I could convince my wife.

These cars are awesome wit many living in the area and i personally have a FPV BF MkII GT. Great car to have. I have grown up with Ford in Australia and they have been awesome cars to drive.
Holden is now exporting more cars over there under the Pontiac brand Ford should really do the same to diversify their range.
