Here we have a vehicle that runs on hydrogen extracted from water at speeds up to 30 kilometers per hour. The vehicle was designed and built by Mingdao University in Taiwan; it is their fourth generation hydrogen powered vehicle.

According to the University President, "Hydrogen is the future trend in energy." Like most hydrogen powered vehicles, forward motion is provided by an electric motor, the electricity generated from the hydrogen is simply used to charge the batteries. The motor generates 5 kilowatts of power.

The vehicle is called the MHV-4 and is described by the University as a "zero noise, zero pollution, lightweight model." The only "fuel" the vehicle requires for operation is water.
