Detroit Auto Show: Maximum Bob meets the bloggers
At this years Detroit Auto Show, General Motors made a major effort to reach out to bloggers as a way of getting its message heard through new and alternative channels. After the introduction of the Chevy Volt concept, GM Vice Chairman Robert Lutz took time from making the rounds with all the usual suspects (a.k.a. the mainstream media) to talk to a group of bloggers, ourselves included. As usual, he spoke his mind and didn't hold back. Go read what the Car Czar had to say over at AutoBlogGreen.

First has been stars to promote has been cars. And now they are desperately going after bloggers. What's next, hiring porn stars to show just how sexy GM cars are?

American cars suck:
You are one ignorant piece of trash. If they didn't go after bloggers, and specifically d-bags like yourself, you would be upset because they were not trying to connect with the real auto-enthusiasts, those who crave info 24/7, but because of your obvious bias, as so delicately stated by your name, you think it is a desperate ploy? Get over your self and your import fetish and give domestics a chance...and by the way, Jay- Z, Jammie Foxx, etc are very much in the public eye, and are certainly not has beens...if you were part of the industry rather than an uneducated bystader, maybe you would know that many other stars, though not on the runway, were in attendance...go kill yourself

I am thoroughly convinced that Lazerwizard has no real opinions on anything, and simply posts to infuriate others, check out his other comments from different stories...what a tool

Gee, what's the matter with GM ? I mean, trying to "plug-in" to the very folks they hope will buy their products........how F++KING ignorant. PLEASE NOTE SARCASM.
I hope a few of these posters are just kidding us. It's either that, are they are like my elderly mother in that if they haven't heard of a "star" or a "celebrity"........well, they just aren't real people.
Articles like this beg the question: WHO IN THE H==L DO YOU THINK SHOULD BE ON A STAND PRESENTING A NEW CAR AT AN AUTO SHOW?
BTW, saw the Chevy Volt on the network news last night, it wasn't bad looking, though the multi-hundred thousand dollar price tag means I'll never be buying one new.

Anyone want to explain why bloggers apparently can't read? Chevy indicated that the VOLT won't cost over $25,000. Now this bozo claims, for some strange and unknown reason, that he believes the car would cost $100,000. Keep waiting for that $100,000 car from Chevy, fella. You'll be waiting a long, long time.
