Bentley Continental GTC named Robb Report 2007 COTY

In a field populated with such cars as the Porsche 911 Turbo, Maybach 57S and even the Bugatti Veyron, the Bentley Continental GTC handily walked away with the honor of being named the Robb Report 2007 Car of the Year. Apparently it wasn't even a contest, as nearly half of the luxury lifestyle magazine's editors and the 41-person panel of car experts tasked with judging the contest picked the GTC as their favorite. The spec sheet of Bentley's newest drop top shows that very few compromises are built into its $190,000 price tag: a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12, 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, top speed just shy of 200 mph, four seats, and traditional open air-motoring. We're pretty confident the magazine made the right choice, at least for its fllthy rich readers.

Saw one of these in dublin last week, rich navy blue, tried to grab a shot but the pos p&s didn't capture it at night, simply stunning watching the top go down, that color with a light beige interior and the sound. By far my favorite convertible in production.

yeah, I'm sure bentley gets a lot of cross shopping from ferrari customers, they're like, the same gnitch right? Same thing must bode for lotus elise and lexus GS, because they're comparable in price and just as comparable in regards to the target demographic of the companies too right? Please.

I never cared for the Continental GT. I found the car's exterior to be aged, the price too high, and the shape bulky. But those complaints are just mine. The Continental was a step in a new direction, after spending decades building oversized saloons. The Continental GTC wouldn't be in my top ten, but I wouldn't mind driving one in Beverly Hills.

I really much am not likeing this car. I like more classic Bentleys as Arnage is. This is ugly new flashy Bentley. Rolls Royce 100EX is looking great this though is not.

The Checker Marathon designers finally got to break loose from their economic concerns. Not satisfied with screwing up the Chrysler 300's, they had to "modernize" the classics. What's next, aluminum wings, exhausts the size of F-18's and rotating hub caps?

Since most of us don't buy quarter-million dollar cars, why don't you guys spend time mentioning the Motor Trend 2007 car and trucks of the year....... the Saturn Aura and the Chevy Silverado??

Another import,,we are no longer "America" we are slowly being taken over by foreign countries,, I call this the quiet third world war, this time we will lose because this enemy is coming in the back door. I want to see new cars at 15 thousand not 200. And fuel efficient also.

Oh great. Yet another wish list item like Cindy Crawford -- I can drool over the pictures then go back to my real world life. These critics are fools. The other 305 million Americans could pick some equally exotic and irrelevant purchase too, you know. We need critics to help us choose the REAL best car of the year which undoubtably is one of the hybrids that have a chan e of changing the entire future, not drool. I'd rather have Cindy Crawford anyway.....

I'm not in the filty rich but who cares. This is a beautiful car and I believe that it was chosen not for the COST but everything else. For one thing, as a Bentley, it already tells me that it is built with Quality and Performance in mind. I would set my goals to be in a position to be able to buy one of these with CASH.
