We've had a lot of posts about the upcoming Transformers movie and some may be getting sick of it, so feel free to skip this one if that describes you. Good, now that we got rid of the lightweights, here are a few more clips from the movie via Jalopnik, YouTube, and Japan-only media outlets. Apparently the Japanese got a longer trailer with some additional scenes we haven't seen before, all introduced by Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay, speaking Japanese for a bit no less! Skorponok, Spike, and Bumblebee all get extra face time in the trailer. Well, body part time at least. The YouTube video is after the jump.

      Wow their Japanese sucks. LOL.

Oh and to poser #2 who said that Bay's involvement raises the chances of it being good... just proves you don't know jack about the film industry. Bay's one of the biggest Hollywood hacks out there and although he knows how to handle action scenes very well, he can't for the love of God direct anything with a meaningful plot or character development. Pearl Harbor anyone? The action in Transformers will be top notch no doubt, but the story will almost certainly suck. The only film that Bay has directed that had a halfway decent story was The Island and even then it was a bit of a rip off of THX-1138, Blade Runner and Logan's Run.

Where Bay has his problems is with solid dialogue. One of the great nuances of the Transformers is that the dialogue was always corny so it should be right up his alley.

How you can look at this trailer and not get excited is beyond me. Exactly what people hate about trailers is exactly what you want.

I must have missed the part where this had to do with autos.

Um... this trailer has been available for over 1 week now... I guess it's "new" because now it has Spielberg being all "I speak Japanese" now... :-)

So far, these trailers have really been less than satisfying. These one second (or less) shots of the robots piss me off instead of getting me excited to see the film. I mean, let's face it. If the robots suck, there's no reason to see the movie. So, show me the freaking robots for a good 5-10 seconds. Maybe Optimus Prime giving a Braveheart-like speech or break dancing or something.

Love the writing and acting "...or we will kill you."

      Written by small children?

this goes to #10, any unidentified vehicle or person for that matter entering a military base without notice will be given that chance, when not complied in a timely manner (and that means immediately) they die. its as simple as that, its called military training

The Island was a nearly word for word, scene for scene ripoff of the 1979 flick "Parts: The Clonus Horror".

I'm not all that excited by the movie, either. But Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are at the helm, so it raises the chances of it being good.
