How did you find your last gig? Craig's List? Help Wanted ad? Nepotism? Supercar builder Mosler took an interesting tact to find mechanically inclined talent in the land of oranges and botched ballots, by placing a full-page, color advert in
Grassroots Motorsports.
The company is in search of all manner of mechanics that can help produce the automaker's 200 MPH supercar at their new plant in south Florida.
Winding Road has all the deets if you aren't currently a subscriber to one of the few great mags available, so follow the "read" link if you think you have what it takes.

Don't you mean an interesting "tack", as in a sailboat maneuver?

Can we please ban use of the word "Deets"? It is a two paragraph post on a blog, not a text message. While we're at it, can we also drop "Waiting for car _x_ to drop" and "Vert" for convertable.

#1, I think he meant "tact" as in tactic.
C'mon, people. You're reading a blog. Not a Pulitzer prize winning publication.

They have been running ads in Grassroots Motorsports for months on end now. If you call up they quiz you on how much experience you have with carbon fibre and other things of a sports car nature, then if you know nothing they don't want to pick you up. If you do .. you get $10 - $11 to basically be a production line monkey.
I guess it would look good on a resume if that's the specialty you are heading towards, and anyone in the area that might be a mechanic could pick it up as a P/T position, but it's not as glamorous as it sounds.

Eleven bucks an hour working on a car that looks like a Chinese McLaren rip-off with Corvette parts?
I take it James was rejected for the job.
