Mitsubishi announces webcast for Lancer/Prototype X unveiling in Detroit

Mitsubishi has to items on the menu for the 2007 North American International Auto Show: the unveiing of the all-new Lancer and the debut of the Prototype X Concept that will preview for us the look of the next generation EVO sedan. We'll be on hand, of course, to watch the unveiling live, but you can too thanks to a handy webcast Mitsubishi is setting up for fans of the Lancer worldwide. If you visit www.lancerproject.com, you'll have to sit through about three minutes of a contrived intro developed by some marketing schlub who thinks he has "hip" ideas, but at the end you'll glimpse the new Lancer (which we've already shown you here) and you'll be able to sign up for access to the webcast. Visitors who sign up will also be able to pose a question to Mitsubishi, some of which the execs will answer on stage during the unveiling.
Thanks to Jeff for the tip!

for a 'struggling' automaker, there not doin too bad. the outlander minisite was acceptable, to say the least. My problem is that mitsubishi doesnt seem to have much direction, (ie who they are selling their brand to) and thats why sales have been slow to pick up after the scandal. they sell their cars, not the brand

And I thought it was the fact that the window trim actually melts in the sun and streaks the windows with molten plastic. Maybe thats why they arent so populer anymore.

I just asked them if they were gonna sell an AWD version of the base lancer or ralliart. I hope they answer.

melting trim??!!! thats a first. the story of this company, i believe, is most onfortunate. i recently read their history on answers.com. from that i would expect them to be where toyota is now!!!(in terms of sales, not boring bread and butter). also unfortunate because mitsubishi is one of the most acclaimed manufacturers in history. i like their new adds, they definately add SOME direction. i can only wait to see preview of the next galant/endeavour before i make any more judgment (cuz duh!!! the evo is GOING to rock)
