Gallery of the Day: 2006 Woodward Dream Cruise

We're so enamored with our new photo galleries that we just can't stop uploading photos, even ones we've already shown you! The 2006 Woodward Dream Cruise occured last August on a rainy day that was hot as Lucifer's summer home. Nevertheless, we had a great time walking up and down Woodward snapping pics of the weird and wonderful autos that were inching along in traffic. We posted plenty of pics at the time, but our make-shift galleries back then couldn't hope to contain everything we wanted to show you. After scanning the archives we found 83 shots that pretty much sum up the WWDC 2006. Go ahead and click here to see the whole gallery, which is best viewed starting with photo No. 1 and working your way through the end. Each pic is 1,280 pixels wide, so feel free to snag a few for personal use if the inclination moves you.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is primarily for the classic American cars that used to cruise down the Woodward loop during Detroit's golden years (ie before the race riots).
Thanks for posting these, makes me want to go home to Michigan though.
(The "CAR TUNES" building is where I got my radio installed before I moved to Maine).

Beautiful shots, great cars! I love the colours and sharpness, what lens did you use? Much post-processing?

I love the dream cruise, wish I was back in Michigan. Im going to have to go back in August. Why should they be pissed, the dream cruise is really only ment for cars up to the 70's maybe 80's. Im sure guys that like imports like American cars too for the most part. Were all car guys.
