Another crashed Enzo... this time a yellow one!
Will the maddness ever end? Word has just surfaced that yet another Ferrari Enzo has been trashed after a crash in Abu Dabia left it far from pristine. We have no details yet on what happened, who was driving or even who owns the car, but the yellow Enzo definitely came in direct contact with the stubby trunk of a palm tree-like plant. That's normally something you want to avoid while driving an Enzo. From the pictures that are viewable by clicking the Read link, it doesn't appear the Enzo was damaged too badly, so perhaps it's salvageable.[Source: Tovx.com]

I think there is a guy who owns an Enzo that is hiring a mob guy to somehow cause crashes one way or another.
This in turn increases the value of all other Enzos in existence.
399 ever made. -5 crashes, number should be at 394 now.

399 were manufactured over 3 years but their owners are varied. some have barely ever driven them. Others drive them daily. Some have modified them imensly and in the eyes of many have wrecked them (one guy put a turbo on one).
So I think about 300 are left in awesome condition.

Now that means that with the rate it is going there will be no Enzos left by 2009.........

This car should have been called the F60
This car should have had a smaller engine with more technology. The F50 in 1994 had a 553hp 4.7 liter 5 valve per cylinder engine. All ground breaking at the time.
For 2004 with S2000 doing 120hp per liter and VW golf having 5 valves per cylinder, the Enzo with its 6.0 liter engine 4valves making 650hp is not ground breaking.
just my two cents

We should have a charity to save the "Ferrari Enzo" breed :) or they will be extinct in the near future.

#5 I dont agree. While the F50 is more hightech then the Enzo with a more advanced engine and carbon fiber structure, The Enzo has better styling. If I had tons of money, I would buy an Enzo gut the inside and place the body over an F50.
You get the beautiful body of the Enzo over the technology of the F50.

The F50 was a far better looking car than the Enzo, Sorry Jay Son. Unless ofcourse you like that 1970's fiberglass dune-buggy kit car look.

Can we get someone at the NHTSA to crunch the numbers and tell us if the Enzo is now the most accident prone car produced :).

I know I would crash my Enzo if I had one. It's the thing to do.

With each and every crash, I'm really glad I ordered that Jalopnik "Save the Enzos" t-shirt. Now if the USPS would just get the darn thing to me. :)

I'm not sure why, but I find it absolutely hilarious to see someone wearing a turban and a cloak operating a tow truck. LOL.

Are people crashing more exotic sport cars, or is the media simply covering exotic car crashes more frequently?

I believe around fifteen Enzos have been crashed, including five of which were totalled. Six to eight more have been or are being repaired, and this one is repairable as well. I suppose any Enzo is repairable with the cash, but three of the totalled ones (Erikson, Italy death, Monaco) split in half, and the other two (Houston and Losee's in Utah) were in serious accidents to the point of being unrecognizable. Still no wrecked Veyrons...

Maybe Ferrari should consider offering a DRIVING SCHOOL for their buyers???
