Thank the god of sports cars for the resurgence of the most classic format, and this fantastic example.

Front engine, rear drive, modest sized and advanced technology (for the vintage) V8 with good specific output, manual transmission, fully independent suspension, two seats, compact and low dimensions, and curves like a smokin' hot woman.

Not to take anything from inherently great mid-engined cars like the F430, or rear engined 911s, but there is something traditional about front engine with rear drive.

Between this and the Aston Martin Vantage; halleluia for the resurgence of true and gorgeous sports cars.

The latest subarus' front girlle have been designed by an european designer who said... "these japanese are paying me a lot of money just because I am european: I need an idea... Hey! let's copy the alfa romeo traditional sign and let's use it upside-down. noone will notice it..."
Mazda did the same when they designed the Maxta Xedos 6 and the mazda 6, which are heavilly inspired by the Alfa Romeo 156.
Alfas aren't sold in usa, but Mazdas and Subarus are.
Now every time there is a post about alfa romeos, there is an american who says "hey they copied Subaru! hey they copied Mazda!". They did NOT: it is the opposite.

Zapatinas *was* the head designer. Subaru had the good sense to abandon the propeller grille design. If the grille design is not good enough for Subaru, what is Alfa Romeo thinking?
