VIDEO: Sabine has fun with the boys in an M5
We can't get enough of Sabine Schmitz or the Nurburgring. To watch someone as talented as Mrs. Schmitz effortless fling the portly, V10-powered M5 around the Green Hell is a joy unto itself. We can only image being able to experience it person, so we've tacked it onto to our ever-expanding list of "to-dos before we croak."
This video was compiled by some of the gentlemen from M5board.com and although it has a little bit of cheesy idolatry thrown in for Sabine, our favorite part comes in at 2:19, at which point she flicks the sedan sideways, right before entering the mini-carousel. She's so cool, she even has her own Wikipedia page.

You have to actually go to streetfire.net and play the video with windows media player to get the correct aspect ratio so everything doesn't look distorted (fat).

I loved, loved, loved the "Chris Bangle Suxx" shirt at the begging of the video...

touge around the ring in an m5 piloted by a Deutsche Frau... nice! Don't quite get the p400-500 joke though. Maybe if santa gets me an m5 for christmas i'll understand.

Sabine is a bit more than just a Deutsche Frau - she is Die Nurnburgring Frau Uber Alles.

Power on a M5 is usually limited to 400 HP until you hit the 'M' button to unleash the full ~500 HP...

Really? No more than the mindless fawning over just about everyone involved with Top Gear on this site...

Yeah,
The highlight was definitely the "Chris Bangle Suxx" shirt.

#3 & #5: Not just the M button. In the iDrive you can select between: 400 hp, 500hp, and 500hp sport (whateva the f**k that means).
M button switches everything to different settings (i dunno if it's default fastest, or you can set the M like a shortcut key)... but M button controls:
- engine output
- differential settings
- timing between gear shifts
(and i think maybe adjusts suspension as well)

What's so special about 2:19, she's sideways a lot...
And yes, that girl can drive.
#3 The car defaults to 400 hp after restaring the engine and Sabine had forgot to put it back to full power at the beginning. The heads snapping back at Antoniusbuche is when she remembers to hit that button...
