No matter which make and model a police car is, and despite my utter contempt of PR BS Hybrids as PRIVATE autos,
Police cars may be the IDEAL application for a hybrid gas-electric, or even better, diesel-electric powerplant.
Because of the way they operate, being on idle for hours on end, lots of stop-go city driving etc.
The same is true (perhaps to a lesser extewnt) of most other CITY FLEETS of vehicles, such as Taxis, and esp. US Mail and FEDEX trucks
