But, I'll bite. To answer Mike, the difference is, there aren't broken VW engines that runs on diesel... I recall laughing the widely-covered coil pack fiasco away since diesels don't even have the parts. Diesel engines (TDIs included) are damn reliable.

So far, I have spent over $2000.00 on these broken electrical/electronic components and a broken key fob. But, I love the way this thing drives and performs. I also own a Lexus, but prefer to drive my VW more than that car..

Are you f-ing crazy?? The TDI has been out since 1997 with a strong factor being reliability! I'm on my 3rd TDI and none of them have failed me, over 140K on the 3 TDI's combined. You can't beat going almost 900 miles on a 18.5 gallon tank!! Yes, 900 miles I've been on a tank in my 97 1.9L Passat TDI!!
