To say that I was smitten after seeing the 997 variant of the GT3 in person yesterday is a bit of an understatement. It's pure functionality as only Porsche can deliver. So when you put two of my favorite things together - the GT3 and DJ Shadow - I've got to share. The soundtrack accompanying the video is part of Shadow's live set, Live: In Tune and On Time, performed during his tour promoting the Private Press.

Enjoy! I already have numerous times.

What a beautiful car. That was an awesome video but I wish they would have had the in car views without any music so we could enjoy the music of the engine.

Anyone have a link to the original video? I assume someone videotaped this with a (pretty good) camera off a a projection TV?! The page is at http://fifthgear.five.tv/jsp/5gmain.jsp?lnk=401§ion=On%20test&show=s10e10&featureid=628&description=Porsche%20911%20GT3 but I don't see the video there.

Wouldn't the GT3 be a variant of the 997 and not the other way around?
All new 911's are 997's and all new GT3's are 997's, but not all 997's are GT3's and thusly not all 911's are GT3's. So GT3 is the variant.
