Essen Nissan: Cobra N+ Nissan Qashquai

The Nissan Qashquai is about as brand spanking new as brand spanking new gets, and already companies are making with the aftermarket bling. Exhibit A: Cobra Technology & Lifestyle, who have put together the Qashquai you see here for the Essen Motor Show, opening next week. The new crossover hits the Euro-tunerama sporting an array of subtle chrome and stainless steel accents, a set of six-spoke rims, a sport muffler, and what is possibly the most industrial-looking door decal treatment of all time.
Come on, Cobra People, you're tuners! You can do better than this. I know of several landscaping businesses who have better graphics advertising their names. Seriously. DOT snowplows have more panache on their door markings. This looks like the easy-to-read movie subtitle font.
Cobra also offers an array of interior accessories as well. Read all the details after the jump. No word on how much the Qash mods will run, but they're all covered by a two-year warranty.

World Premiére at the ESSEN-MOTOR-SHOW 2006
Exclusive COBRA N+ Accessories for the Nissan Qashquai
Exclusive accessories for the new Nissan Qashquai: The COBRA N+ accessories concept from Cobra Technology & Lifestyle makes the Japanese Crossover even more attractive and individualized.
COBRA N+ offers attractive high-gloss stainless-steel body components for the Nissan. The bumper chrome styling with two 15 millimeter strong apron tubes give the look of the standard front bumper an exclusive touch. In addition the standard grid on the front bumper gets replaced by a chromed COBRA N+ stainless steel bumper grille.
The innovative look for the five-door car is rounded out with the side chrome styling, which is fixed on the side panels, and the chrome molding for the tailgate.
The COBRA N+ sport rear muffler for the Nissan Qashquai offers a more powerful engine sound plus refined looks with its two chrome tailpipes. Best of all, the muffler offers exceptional quality thanks to it being manufactured from stainless steel.
The COBRA N+ program also offers custom-tailored tire/wheel combinations in 17- and 18-inch diameter. The largest possible version is the COBRA N+ CN12 wheel in size 8Jx18.
In the interior the COBRA N+ product lineup adds individual highlights with aluminum foot pedals, various versions of shift knobs and stainless-steel sill plates with illuminated COBRA N+ logo.
A two-year warranty with unlimited kilometers bears witness to the exceptional quality of all Cobra Technology & Lifestyle accessories.

This is the second vehicle this week to use OZ Palladio wheels, the first being the Giugiaro Mustang. They're probably my favorite set of wheels right now, good to see them showing up on concepts!

How big is this car? It looks similar to the Pontiac Vibe & Dodge Caliber... if so I want one.

Flanagan: Which set of wheels? The top pic has 5 spokes, the second pick has 6 spokes, both an entirely different design.
GOT: Size-wise, think CRV, Rav4, Vue, Equenox, Torrent, Patriot.

Are Nissan's trouble and rust prone in Europe? I haven't seen one rust in the USA since the early 1980's. The only ones I know that are trouble prone here are the U.S. built Pick up trucks.

I liked the earlier pictures of this automobile. Seeing these pictures, it makes me wonder if it actually is the competitor to the Vibe, Matrix, & Caliber instead of the Rav4, CRV, Vue, Equenox, Torrent, Patriot. I hope its the latter! I'm looking for a CUV in 2 years, and I'm leaning toward a Nissan but the Murano is bit too big for me living in a city congested area. The Versa just doesnt' have enough horsies to get it moving on the interstate.
