So, who does the better front-drive G35 coupe clone, Nissan itself or Pontiac? I've got to give the nod to Pontiac. The styling of the Altima coupe looks much chunkier, and the beltline needs some rake to it. Even the Scion tC, which the Altima coupe resembles even more than it does the G35, has better proportions, with tighter overhangs.
Also, I'm not seeing deeper bolstering to the seats. They look very much like the sedan seats to me.
Competition will definitely include the Accord coupe and G6 coupe. The Monte is larger and decidedly domestic, while the Solara (which appeals to an older customer anyway) is on life support with a DNR from HQ. The Scion might be a budget alternative.
My site's page for the Altima (just sedan for now):

You mentioned the seats in the coupe. The seats in this '07 sedan I have are very uncomfortable. My buttocks and legs get numb after just a short drive.
Love the car. Hate the seats. Had other Altimas, seats were great.
