SEMA: Another unfortunate victim of Cartier syndrome

We're almost certain that months before the aftermarket showcase that is SEMA takes place, one supplier of automotive detritus is assigned the task of creating the obligatory crystal-encrusted whip. This year, that
If you follow the jump, you'll see that even the exhaust tips can't escape the blingification and, oh, can't forget the faux-fur seats. Enjoy, preferably with your good taste in the next room.

what happens to cars like these after the show?
seriously, I cant think of why someone would actually drive a car like this (pimped/bling-bling cars aside), nevermind paying for all these crystals on top SL600... and I'm sure the moron that created this also wants to get paid for his time.

It's ridiculous. I was just looking at this MB and many other hideous cars that people actually pour money into here. The site has tons of vids and photo galleries too. SEMA is awesome, but cmon...

High fashion shows feature garments that represent an unpragmatic pinnacle. Dresses designed for common wear may pull features of such art, but the art itself cannot, and wasn't designed for, wearing to a restaurant or whatnot.
Look at this car and many other outlandish ones at SEMA in exactly the same light: It's a fashion statement that the creator never intended to see rolling up every Main Street in America. Well, maybe Beverly Hills.

I didn't realize that Razo and Garson were related in anyway, but that MB is probably more Garson D.A.D. than Razo. http://www.dad-co.jp/

This is why I quit going to SEMA years ago - the show is too big, and most of the displays and products are irrelevant to anyone but the "appearance" clientele.
(And the models are nowhere near hot enough to make up for it all...)
But, if you're looking for 32" rims, and 'urban poseur automotive lifestyle' accessories - SEMA is your show...

Cool!! I like the SL600 and it looks nice like this. I would rather have it painted this way, but I still think it looks good the way it is. I'd change the rims though, no chrome for me.
