Have you driven a Foose lately?
Ford Motor Company will make it possible for the masses to do just that as it has worked out a deal with legendary hot rodder Chip Foose to produce a limited number of very special vehicles to be sold in Ford showrooms across the US beginning in 2007.
Ford will not disclose which models or in what numbers the vehicles will be produced, but you can bet the Mustang will be one of them. One thing is for sure; they will all be very, very cool.
Chip Foose has produced a number of vehicles for Ford Motor Company, some of which are currently on the floor at SEMA. With the opportunity to "overhaul" some of the other models in the Ford lineup, Chip should be able to generate some showroom traffic and help get buyers back in the mood.

Autoweek is reporting (and we blogged it) that Foose will start with a F-150 and it will be in 2007.
I also highly doubt the Mustang will be involved because Ford already has someone working on special edition mustangs, his name is Shelby.
Expect a fusion or Edge or something else they need to sex up.

I respect shelby, but for his older cars. His new ones are nothing special.
We need a SVT Fusion with AWD !
I cant wait to see the new Bullitt, hopefully it has a different engine than just the 4.6

Is anyone keeping a tally of the different types/packages of Mustangs? How many are there and how many will it stop at? I'm curious with all the Shelby's, Fooses, Rousch's, Bullits, Cobras, GT's, etc.

Am I the only person who's noticed how ugly Foose's cars are?! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! They're beyond gaudy, and you can bet his hideously ugly and heavy chrome wheels and thick body bolt-ons do not help the performance of the car one bit.
I feel like Foose cars are what hicks would buy if they won the lottery: tacky, gaudy, flashy and without much thought behind them.

Huecifer--I can see where you are coming from, but I think this is one of the better looking body kits for the new mustang. I think the Rouch package looks like crap. The Foose kit at least follows the lines of the car--the sideskirts are clean and do what they are supposed to do: tie the front and rear fascias together.

The Foose specials will make it. Shelby has no say in it because the Foose program is like the Saleen and Roush efforts--they are private ventures that help the Mustang's image. Most Shelbys were Shelbys in name only. The GT500 then & now is 100% Ford.

I saw it on Rides, very, very, very nice. Foose really knows how to
modify these ponies.

One more overwrought, ugly Mustang.
