First Swedish Koenigsegg crashed

Included in the cost of every Koenigsegg CCX is the tuition for a high performance driving school. One owner decided to opt out of the school and subsequently wrecked his brand new CCX within 18 hours of taking delivery. The nephew of one of the owners of H&M (a store that sells high end clothing at economical rates) attempted to pass another vehicle, moved into the oncoming lane, lost control and spun, colliding with a garbage truck.
All told, no major injuries were sustained, but egos have been bruised indefinitely.
Thanks for the tip, Matt and Rocket Push!

Hmm... if they offer driving lessons in the price of the car, you may want to look into taking them. The Koenigsegg is a car that should never, ever be wrecked.
*shedding a tear for wrecked super cars everywhere (except Stephen Errikson's Enzo)*

It doesn't means if somebody can afford to buy a car like this he is a good driver.

Just makes me want to cry. Absolutely tragic a) that it was crashed and b)that it sounds like the owner didn't really appreciate what he had.... RIP little Koenigsegg, you will be missed

This is the same car that was in the now infamous skid off/crash in norway. The norwegain guy returned it due to all the comotion sorrounding his first ride.
Then it was resold to this guy who plants it in a ditch.. also Without having gotten the driver education included in the buy (allthough he had signed up for it)

Good safety PR for Koenigsegg. Normal car doesnt look like that after colliding with a truck.

It's not really the "Top Gear wing" qaz, I'm pretty sure it's a standard item now unless you go for the highest possible speed setting with no rear wing and with the longest available gearing. The one that set the Top Gear lap record was a more track-spec optioned car with a slower top speed but obviously amazing track performance.
I'm not 100% on this, but still pretty sure that's the situation.

HMMMM, he couldn't wait for the school before driving his new pride and joy....did he manage to get insurance on it before taking his near fatal "test drive"?

to #12 Frank-
Surely anyone who can afford to buy a Koenigsegg CCX can afford another. This guy is out living the good life while you are sitting here calling him stupid on the internet.
Hope you enjoy your taurus. It doesn't happen to have mismatched body panel colors, does it?

Proof again that some people just have too much money. What an idiot. At least he didn't make the nomination list for a Darwin Award.

#13 "Are there any Koenigseggs that aren't Swedish?"
What's more, this headline seems to say the first Koenigsegg ever made was the one that crashed. It should read, "First Crash of a Koenigsegg."

i'm just glad he didn't crash it, run away, then blame that german guy "Dieter" for the accident.

I suspect that the ego will recover sooner than the car. Just the way egos are.
