A more apt name was never applied than the moniker chosen for this SEMA-bound C6. The Outrageous C6 Corvette is a collaboration between Corvette aftermarket parts distributor Mid America Motorworks, its in-house brand of products and parts that goes by the name Performance Choice, Sony, and the designer of the vehicle, John Wargo of the Custom Shop. From what we gather, the outrageous project car was built to showcase the custom interior that uses Ostrich leather and Alcantara synthetic suede, two new products being offered by Performance Choice through MAM. But these companies know they'd get laughed out of Las Vegas if they showed up with a just a custom interior, so the Outrageous C6 lives up to its name by adding a Pro Charger supercharger and Corsa exhaust that kick the car's power output up to 650 hp, as well as 5,600 watts of Sony sound gear, a Le Mans wing and Lambo doors. The overall result is... interesting, and certainly outrageous. We could envision any number of NFL superstars proudly piloting this Vette to the stadium on any given Sunday, and it will surely fit in with the type of cars we expect to encounter at the SEMA show in a couple weeks.

That's a sin.

Outrageous indeed. That is really atrocious. There are so many things to gripe about, but the thing that looks the most absurd to me are those rivets in the upholstery. First among many, many other horrible details.

What a piece!!! And why is the GM ship sinking? I'd rather see a tricked out Nissan GT-R
D-Dog @ Oct 20th 2006 2:14PM
That is just wrong.

#5, see, we can all agree that the car is horrendous, but it only took 5 replies for one dunderhead (you) to somehow spin this back to GM. Should Honda be blamed for every independently riced out Civic? How tiny your brain must be!

From a Vette owner: That is very tacky!!
"...why is the GM ship sinking? I'd rather see a tricked out Nissan GT-R...
You're being "dense"... What does this have to do with GM?!?!?!?

Ostrich and Alcantara could look so much better than what they've done with it.
No points for their design skills.

Is this reason enough for an Annie Potts and Mark Hamill reunion?

its the Cholovette.
Andre @ Oct 20th 2006 2:42PM
Poor execution of Style.. that thing is gawdy, No flow at all in the exterior designs. Styling makes it look like something from the 80's
Either way i think they'll get laughed at for making such a cool car into a jackass car...

Did you read the article? "The Outrageous C6 Corvette is a collaboration between Corvette aftermarket parts distributor Mid America Motorworks, its in-house brand of products and parts that goes by the name Performance Choice, Sony, and the designer of the vehicle, John Wargo of the Custom Shop."
Just plain wrong. The car that is.

It's "dressed" like a Guadalajara whore - it's not going to age well.
