Volvo announces pricing for XC90 Sport
Volvo has announced the retail price of its new XC90 Sport (which made its debut back in July), and the cover charge you'll have to pay the doorman is $49,300 ($49,995 when you factor in the destination charges). That's a lot of cabbage -- $2,875 more than the standard XC90 V8 AWD's starting price -- so what do you get?
Well, the 311-hp Yamaha V8 is there to provide the motivation. In addition to that, you get your choice of a model-specific red or silver paint color, plus matte-finish trim, 19" wheels, a slightly ritzier interior, roof rack delete and a sport-tuned suspension. You can also tack on Volvo's Technology Package (cost not provided), which adds bi-xenon lights, an upgraded audio system, and Sirius satellite radio.
Does it look good? Sure it does. $50,000 good? That's for you to decide.

All Volovos are not ugly- you lost credibility when you made that post. The s60 is edgy where the comprable Accord and Camry are maybe the most boring cars on the road today.
My issues with this Volvo v8 have always been reliability, I've never owned a Volvo but have always been intrigued. Haven't the Yamaha spec's Volvo V8's been having all sorts of problems?

50k for this ting, I'd opt for the V8 SRX of FX45 or X5 before i even looked at this thing.
willing to bet that the handling on all the CUVs i listed will be a hole lot better than this thing, not to mention they look a hole lot better too.
this is one Volvo rip off.
#2, the Accord does not compete with the S60 - the Acura TL on the other hand does!

what gets me is the front, i just cant stand that grill. but yes i have heard the same on the motors having problems but like u i have never owned a volvo.

With the V8, the XC90 can be fun to drive, because it feels fairly compact from behind the wheel. But the suspension has remained a bit squishy. The Sport might fix that. Might have to drive one to find out.
I'll update my pricing on the XC90 to reflect this package as soon as I have complete details.
