Autoblog Night Watch: Water powered jet car
We really don't know where to begin with this one. We thought we'd seen every conceivable form of motivation, then this comes along and it seems to defy description. The video is courtesy of Streetfire.net, who contends that beneath all that pimperific body work, lives a water-propelled, jet-powered Peugeot 206. Our minds are reeling in an attempt to understand the technical hurdles of such a vehicle. Check the video, then speculate in 'comments'.

That is a great idea. I hope such ideas about water powered cars gets commercial. I recently came across the following site

i think many people don't have to try something to understand that it works.
I've seen facts on the news and all over the Internet, that running a car on water IS
possible. Even that I haven't
tried doing it, it doesn't mean that it's impossible.

Not that hard. Water, air pressure, hose, viola. Biggest problem would be all that air pressure and containing it.

it probably has sealed boiler, heating the water to above 100C (but the increased pressure wont let it boil), and when the valve is opened, the super-heated water instantly boils (flash boils) to release a lot of energy at once.

Either pressurized or it could be high concentration H202 or hydrogen peroxide reacting with silver or some other metal and essentially boiling on contact.

after reading this, i forgot wot jet powered actually means.
so wot does it mean?
i think this vehicle is for use underwater.
would love to see something like that in real life(not just the james bond esprit)

I can remember as kids filling a plastic drink bottle half full of water and pumping air into it to about 160psi and watching it fly. That litre of water would shoot the bottle about 200m into the air. Guessing it is something like that.

Judging by spectators it looks like a public track, there goes the track prep for conventionally propelled vehicles. Slip & Slide here we come...
