VIDEO: Wheel falls off race car and returns to its home
In the "Easily Amused" category for today is this video of an unfortunate racer who loses an all-important component -- a tire (or tyre, if you're so inclined to use the British spelling). The wayward appendage put on quite a show for the cameras, bouncing without interrupting the rest of the race and then lands in just about the funniest place possible -- play the video to check it out.

LOL that was too good.
At first I thought it was going to fall off and then somehow pop back under the wheel well, but this was even better.

Thats my boy Mark Ambrose! Australian Supercars are amazing! This stuff is so much better than NASCAR. I wish we could get something like this in America. They sounds so sick!

Just what the guy said: "You couldn't do it if you try, could you?"
Really amazing.

I dunno about this one .. if you watch the first few frames one-by-one, you'll see that the rear wheel stays on the car and the freewheeling one seems to appear from behind it.
Staged?

#12: It's Ambrose's passenger-side rear that fell off, as you can see by the way his car is slouching. Definately not staged.
The video cuts off the commentator's best remark:
"That's what you call a 'control' tire"
Gotta love the V8 Supercars!

almost as funny as a civic perched on the tires outside of turn 1 at Mid-Ohio - too bad there isn't video of that

yes it may look staged but is is not the left rear that comes off it is the right rear that comes off so the tire came off and the car kept going hence the tire coming rom the rear of the car and the left rear still on
