Fuel Cell Challenge awards coming soon
Awards between $50,000 nad $250,000 for projects in the Greater Columbia Fuel Cell Challenge are to be announced Oct. 17 at the EngenuitySC '06 meeting. One or two awards will be presented in different categories, including education projects, portable fuel-cell applications, stationary applications and transportation. The meeting will focus on how hydrogen and fuel cells fit into the city's economic development future. Keynote speaker will be Pierre Rivard, CEO of Hydrogenics Corp. Columbia is striving to be a world hydrogen leader in anticipation of hosting the National Hydrogen Association in 2009.
