VIDEO: the $10,000 car wash
Not many people would list washing cars as a career aspiration, but then they've probably not seen this video. Here's a guy who gets to work over every detail of the most exotic of exotics, and gets paid as much as ten grand each time he does.
The attention to detail and the methodical steps involved are mind-boggling, as are the costs of the materials he uses (including a $12,000 tub of carnauba wax). Mind you, when you've spent half a million on a car, "cost is no object" takes on new meaning.
Nice work if you can get it....
(Thanks for the cleansing tip, Drew!)

People bash GM for rebadging. But look at this video... not because of the car wash, but because of the Maserati MC12... this is basically a rebadged Enzo.

Chivo,
Do a bit more digging there, buddy. The MC12 has a few more things setting it apart from an Enzo than does a Trailblazer and a 9-7x.
Let me guess, you think a Flying Spur is a Pheaton?

I don't care...this is a f'n awesome post...to see his dedication is amazing as I was a detailer in college and still take pride albeit not that OCD'ish today or maybe it would be better worded that my car cost the price of 3 tubs of his wax so I don't go that crazy on it.

This is so ridiculous it's borderline slapstick.
Practicality and Grossly Wealthy never were the best of bedfellows.

I still dont understand how readers and posters on AUTOBLOG are not fans of supercars and frown on excess. The whole point of being a car lover is the chance to endulge (if only a little) in excess. Whether it is swooning over a Car and Driver picture or actually being able to buy the car shouldnt matter; its the love of the actual vehicles. It seems like too many people on here check the site daily hoping to get a news feed on the newest mini-van. Loosen your belt and indulge alittle.

Silly...yes. Pointless...absolutely. At the same time, quite marketable. I wouldn't mind getting that job...
I figure my gf takes me out for Wendy's after I wash her Aveo...this might be a step up, lol.

It's only ridiculous, grossly expensive and overkill excess IF YOU CANT AFFORD IT! If I had a megabuck Bugatti, I'd seriously consider flying this guy to the states to do my car once in a while.
Meanwhile, I'll be running my six year old Chevy Silverado through the $3.00 car wash for it's obligatory twice a year visit.......

This man is my hero. He is completely taking full advantage of the stupidity of people with disposable incomes. He probably makes some crazy cash, gets to play a little bit with exotics, and it looks like he really loves what he is doing to boot! So what if supercar owners have too much money? If they want to fork over ten large for a car wash then let them. Give that man a call.
I bet that after a year -if that long- he'll make enough profit to get his own supercar that he can wash all day long...
