There's a lot to like about this TV spot for the '69 Pontiac GTO Judge. It stars Paul Revere and the Raiders as they work musical magic on a toe-tapping, catchy jingle with these lyrics:

Judge!
The special great one from Pontiac ... G-T-O
Hurst "T" shifter, 3-speed or four
Pontiac Ram Air, 366 horse
Mag-type wheels, 60-inch spoiler airfoil

(The Judge will rule)

Judge!
The special great one from Pontiac ... G-T-O
Pontiac Ram Air, 400 cubes for action
Wide-Trac mag-type Polyglas shoes for traction

(The Judge will rule)

Spoken line: Has the jury reached a verdict?

Breakawaaaaay .... The fast track is Pontiac!

Now picture it with the band in full regalia and an orange Judge hauling ass in the desert. Goofy, clever, cool , and effective, this one is worthy of repeat viewing. You'll be humming the tune to yourselves afterward.

HEY-- all the folks who think an import from Australia, etc, makes a Pontiac without major changes---look at this! Of course the Judge was over the top, but Pontiac in that era meant __S___E___X__ Maybe they will get in back before they die, but it won't happen with the swaybacked G6, or a Holden with a grille change.

Why was it such a sin that Pontiac imported the Monaro??? Okay, so it was a mistake to use the GTO name, but if people stopped whining about that and actually gave it a chance, they would have been pleasantly surprised. Who CARES if it's from Australia? Besides, Holden is probably GM's best brand, definately better than Pontiac and Chevrolet.

That is a sure funny way to promote a car.
