Video: F1 engine plays God Save The Queen
F1 Engine Song - video powered by Metacafe
Way back in '05, Renault taught their F1 motor how to sing. Back then it was Queen's "We are the Champions." Now it does the classics. According to the blurb accompanying this video, the computer connected to this Renault powerplant can not only force it to play "God Save The Queen," but also the French and Spanish anthems. Despite recent talks of Renault/Nissan merging with GM and/or Ford, there are no plans to add "The Star-Spangled Banner" just yet. Even if this is old news, it's a good clip and worth a click. Check it out.

Awesome !!!!!! sound.
I only remember the Renault of old;the Dauphine days.
Has Renault improved in all those years? If not , GM should steer clear.

nice to see they have a sense of humor about their 2.5 trillion dollar engine.

Certainly better than James May trying to re-do the Top Gear theme by sampling various cars.

You can get the Star Spangled Banner played on a Mustang as a ringtone - for FREE - over at the Ford.com website. Go to Mustang, then look for ringtone. They just zap it over to your phone.

I've heard the Mustang thing, and I like it.
This thing with the F1 version is that it can be done in real time. That (along with the unparalleled sound of an F1 engine) is what makes this so cool.
The Mustang is obviously edited together. Does the Mustang even have drive-by-wire throttle? If not, it would be impossible without tons of edits.
Again, not bashing the Mustang... just saying there's a difference here.

F1 engines- flywheel? hell no!
F1 engine angular acceleration, 25,000+ rpm/second.
Rock a bye baby from F1 exhaust, priceless.
