Ford hasn't exactly had many home runs lately, they're gonna milk this thing for all it's worth. Can you really blame them when you think about it? People love to beat Ford up, here and in the "mainstream" media. At least they got the Mustang going for it for now.....

Ken

Comments on Tuner Tuesdays: ROUSH 427R Mustang

looks cool, but yea,
5 varieties and still all i see are the V6 around...
think they should make a mustang wagon next!
that would be even slower!

menice

Comments on Tuner Tuesdays: ROUSH 427R Mustang

Menice, I find it to be the opposite, 95% of the Mustangs I see are V8's. Mustang Wagon huh? Hmmm, I can see the Mustang vs. Magnum comparisons now. Why not come up with a Mustang wagon to compete with the Magnum? Re-skin it to look completely different. How cool would that be? Talk about a little something to help Ford's image? I have to hit the suburbs to see even ONE coupe, though, all convertibles here.
MY major lack in the line is not 427s, but the absence of a model with better interior trim and features like automatic A/C and lights. We still have Falcon thinking guiding the trim levels.
Ford seems to have screwed up by using the Mazda plant to make the cars, as there is a major capacity issue.
By now, there ought to be a Cougar (slightly bigger, more elegant like the 67).
Something like a Nomad off the Mustang chassis would be great.
