Tuner Tuesday: ASMA Design S-Class Eagle I

Mere words come up wanting when trying to describe an ASMA Design-tuned Mercedes-Benz. These over-the-top customizations have appeared on this page before, including the CLS Shark I and II, the ML Gladiator II, and the company's original attempt to tune the new S-Class. Now ASMA has turned its designers loose on the 2007 S-Class to create the Eagle I, which we suppose can best be described as what the Mercedes-Benz S-Class would like if it were doing a cameo in the Back to the Future II... sans the hover conversion.
The Eagle I features the "traditional" ASMA plunging grille line that Ashely from eMercedesBenz calls "Darth Vader-esque". In addition, ASMA adds a shocking number of vented panels to the S-Class to complement the new front end, side sills and rear bumper. As always, customers can add a new set of wheels, sport exhaust, etc. to complement their Eagle I, although this thing doesn't appear to take compliments very well. You can find more info and high-rez shots of the Eagle I via the eMercedesBenz link below.

This think better be really well armoured to justify it being uglier than the Ghurka.

All it's missing is the Toyota badge on the front end. Looks like a pumped-up camry in the front, not a 6-figure Mercedes Benz.

The first post WASN'T a comment on naming a company ASMA? I know that's not how the word is pronounced, but damn.. ASMA.
And I don't think Darth Vader. Give it some fender skirts and it's iRobot.

I don't get it. How do they have the capital to keep churning out these monstrocities designed by 5-year olds? I couldn't even try to make it that ugly.

The changes to the exterior of that automobile have not improved its looks. Has anyone done a headcount at GM to see if they are missing some of their "designers"?
And when is the promised editor going to arrive at this site? The writing is still atrocious - words cannot want. Come on - try and listen to English as it is spoken. Or better yet, try to read a book or some other printed material. Some of the concepts may sink in.

Just plain ugly. What is it with tuners putting nasty aerodynamic kit on S-Classes? That's not what the car is about at all.

OK, next time someone starts saying that the Krauts have all the nice design restraint, and that Japanese or American stuff is ugly or boring or whatever, I'm holding this hunk of crap up and saying "LOOK!" until they cry and poke their own eyes out just to make the ugly stop. But it won't work. No, the image will already be seared into their brains, forever haunting their insane dreams.

Looking at that car, I can almost hear the bass cannon rattling the body panels as the thug inside attempts to look cool by reclining his seat back to a 45 degree angle which causes him to not notice the speed bump about to rip apart his front end which would amuse me beyond words.

The group mentality here is kinda crazy. I bet if the first 3 people said they loved it the rest would jump on the wagon too. I think it looks pretty creative and other than the front grill I really like it.
