Toyota's Crowns take a beating in China

Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., a joint venture between Toyota Motor Co. and the Chinese FAW Group, issued a recall on all Toyota Crown sedans built between February 21st through September 20th last year. The problem is a weak adhesive used to hold the rubber strips that seal the windshield. According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China, the strips could break loose and strike other vehicles or pedestrians.
Over 20,000 sedans have been recalled. There have been no reports of accidents or injuries resulting from the issue.

There is a fine line between useful links and spamming here, but I believe carchops crosses over to the spamming side with the useless one-line comments - Cool,"I like it" Yeah etc

Reminds me of the problems Chrysler had with the adheasive holding body panels onto the sheet metal a few years back. Hot weather made hot Chrysler cars worthless.

dave,
doubt autoblog is the greatest resource to see who has the most recalls.
According to the article at the following link, Chrysler has issued 16 recalls this year... covering nearly 1.8 million cars and trucks - "more than any other automaker, according to a Detroit Free Press analysis of federal data."

I forwarded this article to autoblog as a "tip"...but surprisingly it wasn't ever used.
