VW Microbus record player
If you own a classic VeeDub, chances are you might have some old vinyl LPs lying around as well. Classic tunes just seem to sound better with a little scratch and pop. Without going the full DJ route with mixers and turntables taking up half your room, playing them can be a hassle... until now. This nifty little Japanese wonder will roll around your record and broadcast the sounds of the "road" through a built-in speaker. Flower children rejoice.

Found a snazzy chrome model on eBay for 85 bucks. I wonder how many records you'll be able to play before having to rebuild the motor.

I bought a VW player about 25 years ago from a ad from the Rolling Stone magazine. I bought it for about $25.00
Now they want well over $125.00 for one.
It's just a toy.

I dunno, the quality of recordplayers was never marvelous, but the quality of this van is below even a fisher price record player from the sound of the clip.... Maybe it sounds better IRL, but I don't suspect it does.

If you're not from the UK, this won't mean much to you (Sorry to everyone else - I'm in LA myself) but I remember seeing one of these on Noel Edmond's Swap Shop back in the late seventies.
Wanted one then. Still want one now.

If you're going to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
And
Take your VW player with you along with your microbus and vinyl. While you're on your trip it will sound great, believe me. Too cool.

They invented this about ten years ago. It was called the "Vinyl Killer Bus" and it originally looked like a schoolbus. Invented for vinyl DJs to sample the records at the record store before buying. Sold in ProSound & Stage Lighting catalog.

Sorry, but by the time I moved to San Francisco over 30 years ago, I had too little hair left on my head to hold even one damn petal. I hated that song;-).
