Transformers Webcast pops up - Peter Cullen confirmed as voice of Optimus Prime

Our own sister-site Cinematical picked up on this a few days ago, as it seems Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, screenwriters on Transformers, have released a webcast full of new details and also reassurances that the writing team won't ruin many a geek's and auto enthusiast's favorite tale of transforming mechanized sentient robots.
The webcast can be found here, but here's a sample of what Cinematical learned while watching the 35 minute-long video:
- Autobots will include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, Ratchet (Medical officer, will not be in the form of an ambulance) and Ironhide.
- Decepticons will include Megatron, Starscream, Brawl, Bonecrusher, Barracade, Scorponok, Frenzy (started out as Soundwave, until they decided to change the character. Stealth spy) and Blackout (guy who comes in and takes out all of our abilities to fight back).
- On why some characters look different than their original versions (i.e. Bumblebee's a Camaro Concept!): "Clothes don't make the man."
- Contest announcement: (check the film's official website for details in the coming days) Write a line for Optimus Prime and the winning line gets put in the movie.
Here's a roundup of other Transformers movie news for those eager to hear Cullen say "Autobots, transform and ROLL OUT."

I always thought the Chevy Avalanche was styled by the Transformers. Hideous and immature.

Clothes dont make the man eh? So I suppose that Optimus could be a Frito's Delivery Truck and he would still be just as big bad and tough??? Rubbish.
It really stinks having BumbleBee played by a out-of-touch boring car company that got in the movie just for some cheap publicity.

Yeah, I'm thinking less "the clothes don't make the man" and more "the volkswagen don't make the payout for the product placement." Just ugh.

Bumblebee is not a Bug because VW won't allow their products used to promote violence. They won't even let Hasbro make a new version of the old toy. They seem to have no problem with using their products to degrade woman or get smashed at intersections, but having their product transform into a robot that fights or shoots a gun is off limits. It's clear that VW is now ran by a bunch of Liberal idiots.
While a MINI Cooper might have been more true to the original, the Camaro will do just fine.

Man I love Transformers. I think I may have a problem. I just wish they wouldn't have promoted the movie until next year so I wouldn't know I had to wait so long.

I wonder if the new Bumblebee will sport a mullet to match his new persona ;)
Seriously though, that sucks that they had to replace that vehicle/character. They should have just left Bumblebee out completely and used a different character.
Movie does look pretty damn cool though.

I could care less about bumblebee - he was cannon fodder... but Jazz needs to be a Martini Racing Porsche. That's not negotiable.
In addition, no Soundwave?
Crazy wild CGI robots? Actually, the robots look like complete rip-offs of the MINI robot from about 1 year ago. The Transformers should have stuck to their toy-roots.
Dumb mistake... so far this movie is underwhelming. It's going to end up in the discount DVD rack with other expensive flops like War of the Worlds and Day After Tomorrow.

After the mic is turned off:
"By the way, how do you like my new clothes that I bought with the money GM gave me?"
