Woodward Dream Cruise 2006: A Gallery of Cars

Though the clouds hovering over Woodward Avenue didn't stop weeping until well after noon, eventually we were able to take some pics without having to run and duck for cover every time a dark cloud looked about to spill its liquid contents on our expensive cameras. This year's Woodward Dream Cruise eventually picked up the pace in the late afternoon when the weather stabilized, though one complaint heard often was that traffic was full of too many "regular cars". Well, we walked about five miles of Woodward Avenue and can tell you that amongst the daily drivers were some true gems. After the jump you'll find a gallery of our particular favorites, and there's more galleries to come later in the day.
(All high-resolution photo gallery can be found after the jump)

You guys missed the biggest and best cars rolling around at Woodward, there was a whole load of cars that GM brought over from Australia. There were two utes, a Maloo and an R8, one was LHD and the other RHD. There was also a new VE rolling around!!! Theres some photos over here:

Well personally I wouldn't call NSX or Skyline soulless, but they're quite rare, and I think the Skyline isn't available in the US.

Nice rides to be sure. Too bad future car shows/ cruises will be ruined with the japanese junk. Style used to be part of autobuilding. Todays designers need to forget aerodynamics and design something worth looking at. That would make GM and Ford's turn around for the better happen. BTW, Can we use a ballbat on these overly huge headlight designs in vogue today?

Do you have any pics or references to a '63 Electra convertible from the Woodward cruise? I owned one and I'd like to connect to current owners.
