Entry-level BMW for the playground market
BMW launched another new model this week, a freshened version of its Kids' Bike. Targeted at the 2 1/2 to 6 year-old BMW demographic, the bike has easily removable pedals so that kids learning to ride can keep their feet on the ground and use it as a push-bike. Once the child is comfortable with balancing and stopping the baby beemer, mom or dad can add the pedals. The blue and grey two-wheeler is certainly priced like a BMW - at $300. Available at bmw-online.com.

"Three Year Old Suffers Minor Injuries in BMW Bike Incident"
Little Susie Sunshine of East Hampton, NY suffered minor injuries in a fall from her new BMW toddler's bike. According to local law enforcement, Susie was trying to navigate her parent's sidewalk but lost control of bike while attempting to change directions on the bike's iDrive system. Officials indicated that instead of keeping her eyes on the sidewalk, she was distracted by the infernal contraption.

What kind of parent decides to buy their kids one of these? There must be some uber yuppy soccer moms out there who get these things for their kids "because mommy has one"
