Yesterday, Subaru announced the Subaru Legacy "tuned by STi" package for the Japanese market. Limited to 600 units total, the tuner kit can be ordered for either the Legacy Wagon or Legacy B4 (sedan). No engine modifications are part of the package since it's available only for the 2.0 GT spec.B trim, which already features Legacy's top-of-the-line 280-horsepower mill.
The list of add-ons includes the following:
- Sport suspension feat. Bilstein dampers
- 18" STi wheels
- STi front and rear spoilers
- Brembo brake upgrade
- Leather/Alcantara seating with red contrast stitching
- STi electro-luminescent gauge pack
- STi badging
- STi muffler with dual tip
Japan gets all the fun. Forester STi, Legacy STi ... Come on, Subaru! Where's the love?

Beautiful. A very Mazda/Acura-esque package. Subtle power. I'd take this over the WRX STi. In wagon-trim, please.

Why hold back on the extra 20 ponies that the WRX STI has? I'd love this car (the WRX is too small for all the stuff I carry around, and I like my friends to have a bit more leg room in the back), but I'm curious as to why they knock off those horses instead of giving it as many, if not more than, as the WRX STI (more family-sedan style or not, this is supposed to come across as "sporty," and i want my "sport" :D)

jordan: they have the 2.0L turbo, not the 2.5L we have here.

I'd really like to have this car in either sedan or wagon form, or the Forester STI. The WRX screams "LOOK AT ME!" with that wing, and even the special 2007 edition still screams look at me. I like the Spec-B, I'd buy it if I had the moolah!

Bob-o: thanks for the clarification. I guess I tend to overlook details like that. :)

After just selling my bugeyed wrx I am definitely itching to get into a legacy. A paddle shift 5 speed auto would suit the bill for me quite nicely. STI trim would make me even happier about it but id be glad to have that 5speed auto with a 2.5 gt. or b-spec mayhaps? Please SUBARU PLEASEEEE!

What a beautiful underbody frame support brace! We might not have the STi Legacy here, but one of the major mags just tried to outspec the Spec-B by installing Tien coilovers and stickier tires. Result - Spec B+! I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to chip the LSB either to make more than the stock ~243hp from that 2.5T.

Nice, but shouldn't that STi badge be pink?
