VIDEO: GM GMT900 pickups in motion

click image above to watch video
The GMT900 twins have arrived and are ready to do battle. General Motors made the smart move by having its Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size pickups exceed their peers in virtually every category, but until now we've only seen the pickups in pics. We strung together a quick vid (actually it's nine minutes long) of the GMT900 pickups at their launch and also on the move out on the open road. Seeing them being driven gives a new underderstanding of how prominent their front ends really are. There are also a few interviews thrown of engineers describing the features that both trucks will have when they come to market later this year. Enjoy the show!

I think this truck looks like the ass-end of a baboon. I'll admit, that open countryside looks great. What pollutes the scenery, though, is that POS pickup. These eyesores are so unattractive, so lacking in beautiy, that I wish to God this GM Death Watch would accelerate.
DIE, GM, JUST DIE!!!
This "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" shit is so 80's, I can't believe it's lasted as long as it has. But also leave it to decent middle-class Americans to show a lick of sense and stop purchasing this "fad".
And well, the numbers speak loud and clear. Yes, there IS intelligence out there in the universe :D

Damn Steve, why not save your childish and stupid comments for the upcomming school year. I'm sure you will find a receptive audience when you repeat the third grade for 12th time. Now I agree with you that they are not the best looking truck I've seen there is way to express your opinon with aot more class.
Anyways, am I the only one a bit disappointed in the styling? I mean, we heard about how great these trucks would be and how the interiors would change the truck world. I just feel that they didn't do that. I don't see where the interior is any better than an F-150 which REALLY changed the way interiors were done. I don't think its ugly, it's just doesn't live up to the hype.

>>>>NO SHIT!!! WHAT DID I JUST SAY???
Anyone who creams their jeans over this Brokeback Homosexual Pickup ought to re-evaluate their choice of gender.
Pabst Blue Ribbon, Chevy Trucks, Lee Rider jeans, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and oh yeah, slappin' the beef cuz your old porker of a woman will make even you wilt, then yep...we've got ourselves a winner!!!
Put one of those flag sun-screens along the entire length of that rear window...it ought to be included as standard equipment. That and those Mexican chrome "seniorita " mudflaps...
I can't WAIT to go Hog Wild watching this thing perform at a mud bog!!!

Thats not what you said. You ranted like a child and made yourself look like an idiot. Like you did again. I think it would be best if you just stopped posting on this subject. I mean, you seemed so intent on spending your time on a topic that you hate so much. Must not have anything else to do other than be childish and throw some 4 letter words around. I hope you feel like a man now.

Why don't you all go down to the Piggly-Wiggly and buy a fifth of Jim Beam, and just Chill Out!
Steve isn't the only person who doens't see anything in this New pickup. Many people, myself included, aren't too impressed. In fact, there are many people who are absolutely fed up with these wasteful beasts, including SUVs. That's not news, it's quite common. People are beginning to hate what these things represent.
But it's ok. We accept that there is an "element" in society which is different. Slow perhaps. We recognize that some people just are lacking the mental capacity to aspire to bigger and brighter things.
We recognize that you may work for GoodWill Industries as a career, and though we may cringe at your lack of intelligence, on a very basic level we accept it.
We "know" you can't help yourselves to anything better.
Enjoy your pick-'em-up-truck.

Its so easy to critize, takes no skill, gift or effort.
Both Steve S & Francoi should take up ballroom dancing together, do something constructive.
Steve S, you shouldn't bother God with such stupid requests? You're a complete idiot.
As for Francoi atleast you made some effort expressing your dislike. But, your comments about GoodWill industries leaves me to belive that you are a frequent shopper.
I suggest you look up the word Irony in the dictionary.
You never know where YOU will be working next. Not that there is anything wrong with working.
As for the New trucks, I'm still waiting for the Video to load??

I have a general rule not to loan out my truck to friends who rip on gas guzlers, but don't have a problem borrowing mine when they need to move something.
They may be friends, but they are still hypocrits.

The 2007 Silverado frame is touted as 234 percent torsionally stiffer than the 1999-2006 generations.
But when the 1999-2006 gen. debuted, its frame was touted as "27 percent lighter and 65 percent stronger" than GM's 1988-1998 generation pickups.
That implies that the 2007 model is about 400% stronger then the 1988-1998 models. And I'm sure that the 1988 models were MUCH stiffer than the explosive 1978-1987 models...
So, it makes one ponder...
What was GM making frames out of in the 70's and 80's? Spaghetti?

I wonder what Steve S. drives? That is, when his parents get home, let him take the car. This is after of course, he hears them drive up the driveway, after he pulls his pants up from around his ankles in front of the computer in his parents basement. What make of mini van do you get to take out to the carry out for your 2 liter of Mountain Dew and Little Debbie snack cakes??

to quote Mr. Gump..."trucks is as trucks does". That being said, don't critisize it for being what it is and doing what it does. It appears to be a very hansome design, able to outperform the competition, and do it with style and efficiency. If you don't need a truck, then buy a Toyota, my friends!

man, i feel bad for my hick dad who has a gigantor dodge 2500 cummins diesel. except when we pull the boat to go fishing. or waterskiing and tubing. or taking around kayaks. or camping. or moving my shit to new apartments. or when he cruises to work in his mazda6.
i always loved driving his old GMC; when do the new HD models come out and what is the diesel like?

I like the look, I live in SouthWestern Pa, and we have alot of trucks on the road. They are a tradition as well as a way of life, with all the farm lands and the mountains.
I am a die hard Chevy fan I want them to succeed, I think they have a winner with this design and its Cadilac-esqu front end. It is pure American, big and beautiful, just like America.
I will own one "all black with no chrome grill please"
Love it or hate it you gotta give them respect
