On this week's episode, Damon and I break down what occurred between Mazda and the RX-8 community late last week. We also go over the new GMT900 pickups and how new battle lines are being drawn in the pickup wars thanks to high gas prices. We couldn't let the week go by with talking about Playboy, as well. This month's issue of the men's magazine was chock full bunnies, Rabbits and high-priced exotics. We end the show expressing our lament for another Enzo that has bitten the dust and give our best wishes to its owners, Richard Losee, who is recovering after he and his Ferrari crashed at 200 mph and rolled seven times on a highway in Utah. I am a member of rx8club.com. Thank you very much for your attention to the video about the RX-8 owner surveys. I enjoyed your post and the podcast very much.
Just FYI - the podcast identified zoom44 as the individual who posted the leaked video to Google video - that is not correct. zoom44 merely informed Mazda about the video, and asked them to clarify, and later informed the club members about the video.

Thanks, Masarek. We're trying to have fun with it, but Damon's going to make sure we stay on track and produce a show every week, which I think has been the biggest complaint of our podcasts, i.e. their random production schedule.
I'm working on upping the audio quality. Am open to suggestions if anyone has any. We're currently just using iChat and Garageband on a Mac to do it, but are having issues with Damon's voice cutting out on my machine that's doing the recording. We'll get it down, though.

The better quality podcasts I listen to usually use Skype instead of iChat. And they buy better microphones/headsets instead of using what comes with the computer.

I’m glad to hear you guys will be doing more podcasts as I always enjoy your show.
As a RX8 owner and club member, I appreciate you bringing the survey issue to light even though I know it may give ammunition to those who don’t appreciate the rotary engine. The rotary has always had an uphill PR battle due to the issues it had in the early 1970’s and the last gen RX7, even though the 3rd gen RX7’s issues weren’t with the engine as much as they were the design of the twin turbo system. x
Remember that TSB’s are not recalls, just because they exist doesn’t mean every car has all of these issues. I bet any car that has been out for 3 years or more will have several dozen of them, even the Camry or Accord. The 350z has hard its share of issues also.
Properly cared for, the rotary engine is just as reliable as a piston engine and there are thousands of older RX7s on the road that are living testament to that

I've got to agree with masarak here. The content of the shows is great but the quality of the audio is a tad grating.
Glad to hear the Podcast is going to become a weekly thing. Keep up the good work guys.

Just want to agree that the audio quality makes the podcasts nearly unlistenable. I turned it off halfway through because I got tired of straining to hear. I did enjoy what I did hear though.
