A BMW that pays your parking
There are Bimmers that self-park, provide backseat passengers hands-free cellphone service, and, in the future, may be polish-free. But a Bimmer that pays your parking space? That's what the Munich Technical University Applied Informatics/Cooperative Systems and BMW Group Research and Technology groups have developed for the 7-Series. The technology interfaces with the parking garage system wirelessly to calculate fees and pay as you exit the structure. BMW has not stated if and when it'll roll out such a system. No word on how the system handles a validated parking pass.

We already have that. I use the same RFID tag in my car to access the parking garage for my condo, Dallas Tollways and Airport Parking. There are several parking garages in Dallas that use the tags to bill parking and up until recently there were a few McDonalds that would bill using the same tag for drive though service.

I see that BMW is spending less and less effort on actually making pleasurable cars to drive, and rather just making convenient cars to drive. Egads! It's becoming a gadgetized Corolla with an upscale badge on the nose!
