This, um, unique Ferrari F40-inspired vehicle is apparently based on a 1980 Suzuki 100gx (with a Ford Escort engine). The mini supercar is currently up for bids on the Dutch auction site Markplaats.nl, where the high bid at this writing is €1,001 ($1,276). Before and after pics follow the jump!

Cheap - at half the price.

Sweet ride - I wonder if it will go fast enough that an unskilled operator could break it in half by hitting a utility pole. Any takers?

      #6,
I love the LARGE F355-era Ferrari badge they threw on the fender.

Reminds me of the old VW Bug conversion kits that put a Rolls-Royce front end on a Bug and allowed further modification to allow for a full-on conversion...

I guess it could be fun to be seen in. Maybe even fun to drive.

      Maybe not.

This is what a Ferrari would look like if it was built by a company using UAW workers.
