Top 10 vehicles most researched for leasing
LeaseCompare.com has published its most researched vehicles for leasing for the first half of 2006. Many of the selections, such as the BMW 3-Series and Infiniti G35, are not surprising since those types of customers often enjoy driving the latest models every two to three years. However, we were a bit surprised seeing that several of the vehicles on the list were from the more prosaic side. The Honda Civic, for example, was number 5 under "New Cars" researched while the Odyssey (pictured) was ranked 10.The Top 10 most researched vehicles for leasing are below and also includes each vehicle's ranking on last year's list.

Because they depreciate less quickly than the average car, Hondas and Toyotas should be great candidates for leasing.
The one that surprises me is the Range Rover Sport, because so few are actually bought.
I list the most common price comparisons at my site here:

The most common comparisons for every model in the pricing database are also listed on that model's page.
I've found that these lists rarely change--even down near the bottom.

Michael,
I just checked out your site and thinks it's absolutely incredible. I found it way quicker to use than autos.msn.com, and I use that site often enough to know where to find all the info I want.
One thing, I dunno if it's cuz the car is so new, but you don't have the 335 in the 3-series database ;)

I'm not surprised to see not one, but two 3-Series models in the top ten leased list.
It seems that in the Silicon Valley, if you don't drive at least a 3-Series or C-Class, you might as well be homeless. People land their $30K-a-year entry-level tech jobs, and run out to lease the BMW they can't afford just to keep up appearances.

Wow...they pay tech industry employees in CA $30k entry level. No wonder it is no longer the IT capitol. You would be hard pressed to find many folks making less than $40-$45k entry level in D.C. Interesting.

Someone please fill me in on how you lease a used vehicle. I'd love to be able to do that!

Don't bother researching a '01 E320 9:41AM (8/11/2006)
Bought a certified '01 E320. Have had numerous electrical problems ( some of which were under the maintenance window, some just outside). You should also know the following non-mechnical quality issues:
- The glue or fitting that holds together the leather to the drivers armrest came apart
- The plastic that is part of the passenger side
vanity mirror broke off
- The squeaky driver's side seatbelt that needs to be replaced (again).
These things give the appearance of a cheap
manufacturer.
I thought Mercedes stood for luxury and QUALITY. I am convinced, that it does not
stand for quality. In fact, this is only reinforced, by a recent Consumer Reports rating my
'01 E320, as one of the worst used used cars to
own.
The part that really pisses me off is that MB Corporate customer service, says that I can talk to the dealer. I sent an email to them and they have yet to respond. And oh by the way, doesn't the manufacturer have some accountability, it is their friggin product, which they designed !!!!

Leasing a car is a great way of having driving a new car without the expense of having to buy. I recently leased a car for 12 months, and will defiantly be upgrading my lease to a new one.
The company that I used www.vehicleoptions.biz/ offers fantastic prices.

Just talk to your local dealer, i'm sure they can help. Probably recommend a PCP or Personal Contract Purchase which is a form of leasing where you can either own the vehicle or hand it back at the end of the agreement.
More flexible that hire purchase.

Interesting, BMW on top both on the new cars and used cars and not only with one model.
Is this because they are so expensive ?
