Shop with Saleen!
On July 29, Orange County, CA saw the grand opening of the first-ever Saleen Store at the Irvine Spectrum. Split into two distinct sections -- Lifestyle and Automotive Technology -- the store offers a full range of Saleen-branded goods, from simple gift items like keychains and pens to memorabilia and a full clothing line.
Visitors will find an S7 supercar and and S281 Mustang on display, and if they're interested in putting one in the garage, they can do that as well. Staffers are equipped to answer all vehicle-related questions and can help prospective buyers kick off the purchasing process via an onsite referral service that matches them up with their local Saleen dealer.
The Saleen Store also is also home to diversions such as a racing simulator that lets customers experience what it's like to pilot an S7R on the track, refreshments at the Saleen N20 Bar, and interesting exhibits like a bissected Saleen Mustang. You won't find that at Banana Republic.
For enthusiasts in Orange County, the presence of the Saleen Store should make routine shopping trips a whole lot more interesting. I live twenty miles south of Irvine and I am going to the Spectrum today to celebrate a friend's b-day... but before hitting up fox sports grille / bar, definitely going to swing by the Saleen showroom :-) :-)
After I get back, I'll post a "review" of sorts....

I was there on friday and saturday, and was amazed at the store. Everything in there was mind blowingly beautiful. It is nice to see America have a supercar that can crush the foreign competition. Good job Saleen with the beautiful store and flawless opening night. I had a blast.

Well I went and visited the show room and it was pretty amazing. Wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be but the displays are awesome. I especially like the saleen mustang that has been "split" in two so you can walk through it. I met Steve Saleen and had him sign a poster so I got a freebie :-) although they didn't seem to want to give any cars out for free....

Frank took some truly amazing pictures and provided us with some great coverage of the Saleen store grand opening. I've been a fan of his work for quite sometime and I always check out his site (http://frank4cars.fotki.com/) for updates. If you aren't familiar with Frank's work I would be pretty amazed because he also writes some fantastic articles for http://www.fast-autos.net/ Thanks again Frank for doing such a great job with your pictures and providing some great coverage for events like this!! :)

I've heard of that weekly Crystal Cove meeting before but never have attended... hopefully one of these days I'll get a Saturday off (and hopefully my car will be back from the body shop :-/ ... long story.. wasn't my fault) so I can cruise on up highway one to check it out
