The Wothahellizat: Winnegabos weep in its presence

We hereby nominate the Wothahellizat built by Australian photographer Rob Gray as the Most Bitchin Thing on Wheels for 2006. Being a nature photographer, Gray and his wife, Chris, often spend long stretches of time out in the Australian wilderness and needed a vehicle that would be part condo, part off-roader, no compromises. The couple is able to spend months at a time out in the field with the 6x6 Wothahellizat thanks to a list of features that's too long to list.

Some of the highlights include an over-cab bedroom with hydraulically operated roof, a self-supporting deck that folds into the back, a "garage" large enough for two mountain bikes, eight roof-mounted solar panels, a real toilet, and anything else you would expect in a regular motor costing somewhere in the six-figure range. If you're in the market, Gray is willing to part with the Wothahellizat for around USD $250,000, which isn't unreasonable.
For more information on the Wothahellizat visit its website, and check out a full gallery of pics and a complete spec list after the jump courtesy of Rob Gray.

What US trucks would be good candidates for such a project? I've never been a huge fan of outdoorsey stuff, but this is something I could consider!

but can it float in the amazon and survive a drop from the waterfall like the one from The Wild Thornberries, or come with a talking monkey hmm??????
...really 250k is very reasonable considering this thing could drive right over that 1 million dollar Bugatti Veyron and the garage its inside.

#2: "What's the gas mileage?"
They gave a range of @1300 miles on the 133gal tank... That's roughly 9.7744360902255639097744360902256 mpg.

From the outside it looks like the landcrawler that the Jawas from Star Wars lived in (especially in the dusky desert shots).

Someone already produces and sells huge off road campers, which likely inspired this homemade version. Check out Unicat at http://www.unicat.net/

The 600 litre diesel tank is close to 133 IMPERIAL gallons, but Google says 600 liters = 158.503231 US gallons. The range of 2100 km = 1,304.8795 miles. For US gallons, that gives a mpg rate of "roughly" 8.2325104148823313261040085674973.

More important than the gas mileage, though: for two people the storage capacities of 60 bottles of beer for one month of food = one bottle of beer per person per day. This indicates they really haven't planned the vehicle very well.
